A building from the fifteenth century. The largest and most renowned Share of the Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni is located at the northwest foot of the monastery. Permanently stationed at the Agia Varvara stockade are Stavrovouni monks.

The abandoned Catholic monastery of “Stazousa” (meaning “dripping one”), which is dedicated to the Virgin Mary, is located approximately 4 kilometers south-east of the village, across the valley of the tributary river, and close to the village of Klavdia. This remote monastery, which is largely unknown to the general public, is most likely a Gothic structure from the fourteenth century. According to C., what remains are the remnants of a Catholic monastery. Enlart was the property of Cistercian monks. It is situated on the bank of the Tremithos River and is constructed from hewn limestone. The cells are now empty, but the church’s apses are impressive despite the interior ceiling’s deterioration. It was recently renovated by the archaeology museum.

On a panoramic hilltop of Cyprus, like a large eyrie planted by the hand of Hod, the renowned and one-of-a-kind Holy Monastery of Stavrovouni has risen for centuries atop the lofty and precipitous mount Olympus. It is also located in the Troodos mountain range, which contains several of the most beautiful monasteries in Cyprus. It is located on a rugged mountain in the center of south-east Cyprus, on an isolated peak resembling the pinnacle of a steeple, with no neighboring peaks that are higher or more substantial. This peak, with an average altitude of approximately 700 meters, makes the Monastery visible and affords every visitor a magnificent view in all directions.
